Scholarship Continuation Policy for UM's Outgoing Exchange Students [For Undergraduate Programmes Only] This scholarship continuation policy applies to all UM’s outgoing exchange students who are awarded scholarships by UM when admitted. UM’s outgoing exchange students are advised to read this policy before they go abroad so as to know what requirements they should fulfil in order to continue their scholarships for the next academic year. To be eligible for scholarship continuation, an outgoing exchange student should: 1. fulfil the exchange study plan which they have agreed with the academic unit concerned before they go abroad; and 2. achieve an overall result of Grade B, 3.0 on the 4-point GPA scale, or 13 on the 20-point scale at the exchange university. If the exchange university does not adopt any of these grading systems, the academic unit concerned could decide whether the student achieves such requirement based on the grading system adopted by the exchange university. If the above 2 requirements are fulfilled, scholarship continuation would be granted and tuition fee would be exempted based on the student's academic result achieved at UM accordingly. • For students joining the one-year exchange programme, tuition fee exemption would be based on their yearly GPA achieved at UM in the previous academic year. • For students joining the one-semester exchange programme, tuition fee exemption would be based on their GPA achieved in the semester at UM in the exchange academic year.
