The 6th Asia-Pacific Workshop on Laser-Ablation and Micro-analyses December 1-2, 2016, Wuhan (First announcement) The State Key Laboratory of Geological Processes and Mineral Resources (GPMR), China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) will be sponsoring a two-day workshop devoted to promoting the application and research of laser ablation and other in-situ micro-analysis techniques in the Asia-Pacific region. The main focus of this workshop will be application and theory of LA-ICP-MS and LA-MC-ICP-MS in elemental and isotopic analyses. Ion probe and other micro-analytical techniques are also welcome. We are warmly expecting your participation and presence in Wuhan. WORKSHOP GOALS  Promote the application of laser ablation in elemental and isotopic analyses;  Enhance the understanding of elemental fractionation in laser ablation;  Discuss the latest practices for the production of “reliable” micro-geochemical data;  Exchange ideas between users and researchers of elemental and isotopic analysis techniques using laser ablation.
