University Level Exchange Programmes Fact Sheet 2023/2024 Semester 2 GAO reserves the right to suspend or cancel the exchange for any reason, decisions made with regards to the operation of the semester outgoing exchange programmes will be based on the most recent situation and various factors, such as perceived risks or the operation status of UM /Exchange Partners. In case an Exchange Programme is cancelled or terminated, Exchange Students are still responsible for the costs regarding the exchange and bare their economic losses, if any. Before applications, students should:    Rules for Semester-based Outgoing Exchange Programmes Obtain parental consent in advance; Read through the “Rules for Semester-based Outgoing Exchange Programmes”. Exchange Students must enroll at least 9 UM equivalent credits (i.e. the enrolled courses shall include at least 108 teaching hours in total) at the host university per semester; Check the course details of Exchange Partners and seek for academic advice from faculty. Students who have accepted the exchange nomination offer are not allowed to withdraw without ample reason (difficulties on courses matching and course exemption or deferral of graduation is not a reason to withdraw from Exchange). Eligibility Year 2 or Year 3 Undergraduates with minimum CGPA of 3.0 or above Exchange Duration One (1) Semester, i.e. Spring 2024 Application Students are only allowed to submit one (1) application form with a maximum of 6 Exchange Programmes (i.e. 3 University-level Programmes and 3 Unit-level Programmes). Submitted application forms cannot be removed or edited. Students should check all the information carefully before submission (including the priority of your exchange preference!!) Interview Fill in the requested information via the “Outbound Exchange and Scholarship Application System” ( https://isw.um.edu.mo/seas ) • Curriculum Vitae (Photo, Experience, Awards, Personal Skills) • Travel documents • Other supporting documents and/or documents required, if any (e.g. certificate, awards, language proficiency) Late application will not be considered Applicants will be called for interview. Email will be sent to inform applicants the interview details. Applicant who doesn't show up for the interview will not be considered for the Exchange Programme.
