Notice 1st Notice of Teaching Arrangement for the 1st Semester of Academic Year 2022/2023 (Applicable for New Postgraduate Students) Dear New Postgraduate Students, Welcome to the University of Macau! In view of the situation of COVID-19 in Macao, we would like to inform you that the first four weeks of classes in the coming semester (18 August – 17 September 2022) will be conducted ONLINE. Below is a list of important dates for you to take note of. Date Activity 1 August 2022 – 11 August 2022 New Student Registration 12 August 2022 – 17 August 2022 18 August 2022 – 29 August 2022 Online Course Enrolment 22 August 2022 – 6 September 2022 Course Add/Drop Move-in Arrangement for Postgraduate House (PGH) 1/2 Remarks Students are required to submit the registration documents ONLINE. Please pay attention to your email for detailed arrangement. Student Information Web: https://isw.um.edu.mo/siweb/ Due to the epidemic situation in Macao, move-in period to PGH will be postponed to 22 August 6 September. PGH will arrange resident students to move in by batches, and PGH will inform the detailed arrangements and schedules via e-mail in early August. Information will also be published on e-bulletin and WeChat official account (UMSAO). Please make transport arrangements only upon receiving PGH's email notice. Date 18 August 2022 18 August 2022 – 17 September 2022 Activity First day of classes All classes will be conducted ONLINE. Remarks The teaching arrangement from 18 September onwards will be announced in early September. Please pay close attention to the University notice and student email.  If the situation of COVID-19 is getting stable and improving, the classes will resume normal (face-to-face teaching mode) from 18 September. After that, online classes will only offer to the international students who are not permitted to enter Macao.  If the situation of COVID-19 is still unstable, online classes will be continued until further notice. Students must pay attention to personal hygiene and are reminded to wear a mask properly, wash hands frequently, keep a distance and avoid crowd gathering. Students are advised to strengthen self-health management and pay close attention to your health condition. Please seek medical attention promptly if you are feeling unwell. The University is closely monitoring the situation of COVID-19 and will make necessary adjustments to the teaching arrangement in accordance with the announcements and prevention guidelines of the Macao SAR Government. Please pay close attention to the University notice and emails about any updates.
