2008' Symposium on Intelligent Information Technology and Security Informatics Adelaide, Australia 23 January 2008 To be held in conjunction with the First International Workshop on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (WKDD 2008) Call for Papers Intelligent Information Technology and Security Informatics (IITSI) is concerned with the study of the development and use of advanced information technologies and systems for national, international, and societal security-related applications. The Symposium Papers are solicited on all technical aspects of Intelligent Information Technology and Security Informatics, including but not limited to the following topics: • Intrusion detection • Bayesian networks, Fuzzy and rough set • Model for secure web services • Genetic Algorithms, Evolution Strategies • Privacy Preserving Data Mining • Intelligent multimedia security services • Knowledge engineering and management • Disaster prevention, detection, and management • Web-based intelligence monitoring and analysis • Key management and authentication • Deception and intent detection • Security web-based collaboration applications and services • Text analysis and text understanding • Access control, Privacy protection • Authorship analysis and identification • Cryptographic algorithms, Trust management • Agents and collaborative systems for intelligence sharing • Terrorist incident chronology • Information sharing policy and governance • Terrorism root cause analysis • Privacy and civil liberties issues • Forecasting terrorism • Public/animal health and bioterrorism information infrastructure • Countering terrorism • Transportation and communication infrastructure protection • Measuring the impact of terrorism society • Cyber-infrastructure design and protection • Measuring the effectiveness counterterrorism campaign Publications The papers will be accepted in WKDD proceedings, which is published by IEEE Computer Society Press, which will indexed by EI & ISTP. A selected number of the accepted papers will be invited for expanding and revising for possible inclusion in special issues for the following International Journal of Intelligent Information and Database Systems. Registration Fees Early Publication fee: $230 before 3 Dec, 2007 Conference Fee: $150 before 3 Dec 2007(chosen or not, if you attend, please choose it) Mailing Service Fee: $20(This service is ONLY for those who cannot attend Conference in person) Paper Submission The front page must contain the title of the paper, full name(s) and address(es) of the author(s) and the appropriate academic field(s).
