ISCG/FORM/004 澳門大學 UNIVERSITY OF MACAU 博彩研究所 INSTITUTE FOR THE STUDY OF COMMERCIAL GAMING (ISCG) ARRANGEMENT OF CLASSES AND EXAMINATIONS DURING TYPHOONS AND RAINSTORMS Warning Signal No.8 When Tropical Storm Warning Signal No.8 (or above) is hoisted, the following measures should be taken: 1. If the warning is still hoisted or in force at or after 7:00a.m., all morning classes and examinations commencing before 2:00p.m. will be cancelled automatically; 2. If the warning is still hoisted or in force at or after 12:00 noon, all afternoon classes and examinations commencing between 2:00p.m. and 6:00p.m. will be cancelled automatically; 3. If the warning is still hoisted or in force at or after 4:00p.m., all evening classes and examinations commencing from 6:00p.m. or after will be cancelled automatically; 4. The academic unit concerned will re-schedule the cancelled examinations to a later date and inform the candidates of the details as soon as possible. 5. If classes and examinations have already started, all classes will be suspended immediately. All examinations will continue until the end of that examination session. Warning Signal No.3 When Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 3 is in force, it should be assumed that all classes and examinations will be held as scheduled unless an announcement of cancellation or postponement has been made by the University. When the Rainstorm Warning is issued, the following arrangements will apply: 1. All examinations will be held as scheduled; 2. All classes will be held as scheduled. Students who are late for or absent from classes will not be considered as absent; 3. However, under serious weather conditions, the University may decide to cancel classes and examinations with the following arrangements: a. All classes and examinations already started will continue until the end of the session; b. The academic unit concerned will re-schedule the cancelled internal examinations to a later date and inform the candidates of the details through the academic unit's notice boards Updated on 4/30/2008
